More energy
on the Avon
A city loop built to feel out NOVABLAST 6's next-level energy return and GT-2000 15's steady stride — on the streets that shape the new Christchurch Marathon course.
One river, four turns
The loop mirrors sections of the new Christchurch Marathon course along the Avon — every bridge is a turnaround, so you pick your distance and everyone finishes together.
All distances are out-and-back loops from Hagley Park — run 5K or run all 20K, no one's left chasing a pace group.
Two shoes, one loop
Not opposites — a pairing. Test both on the day and find out which one your stride's been missing.
Novablast 6
FF BLAST MAX foam underfoot for next-level energy return — built for the stretches where you want the road to give something back.
GT-2000 15
Structured support and a smooth, reliable transition — built for the miles where consistency matters more than pop.
Learn your stride — whether you need forward bounce momentum, or a little stability propulsion
Consider it the unofficial launch party
Same river, same bridges, same ground the marathon field will cover on race day. Come test the shoes on the course before it's the course.
The Christchurch Marathon crew will be on-site with 3 free race entries up for grabs and a limited-time discount code for everyone who RSVPs.
Matt Bateman from the Jog Squad will be there too, bringing the energy.
Get The Route
Every distance is an out-and-back loop from Armagh St Bridge. Pick yours, grab the GPX, and load it straight onto your watch before the day.
Don't have a GPX-compatible watch? No problem — pack leaders will run every distance on the day.
